I also love her talk at the end about moderation. That's the theory I aim for.
This week I bring you another workout from Blogilates! I love her and have followed her for at least a year or so. I also love her talk at the end about moderation. That's the theory I aim for.

The entire experience was awesome. The drinking was necessary to help me care less about "doing it right" and the music was fun to sing & dance along with while trying to get just enough water mixed in with your brown so you can make trees.
I'll admit again that this was not my forte, but I had a ton of fun and will definitely be going again. I also would like to try painting on my own. Though I don't believe I can create anything that resembles a scene of any kind without instruction. SaturdaySaturday was yoga day in my Nike+ Training Club app. It was only 15 minutes, but it wasn't easy. There were plank variations in there that really threw me {down on the ground}. Let's just say it's not my typical yoga, but I'm excited to try it next week! MondayI started off running an easy going mile on the Las Vegas Strip via iFit & Google Maps on my treadmill at the gym. It makes running pretty fun, especially for me because I dislike treadmills. The Nike+ program had me do a 30min workout called Body Flexor {same as last week}.
Tell me about your week in fitness!!Some of my favorite workouts are the impromptu kind. The kind where you just get an idea and run with it {possibly literally}. This Workout Wednesday I bring you....Dancing. I'm not talking Zumba or anything organized. I'm talking about unorganized, untamed, completely wild and possibly ugly dancing. Crank up the tunes in your house or if your speakers don't do the music and dancing justice then possibly plug in your headphones and then just let it all out. Dancing like nobody's business nonstop for a couple songs is a killer workout and should not be overlooked. Dip, jump, wiggle, pump, swing, nod, rock it and shake everything for an entire song and hit repeat if you love it enough. Just go crazy (but don't smash your head into a door or leg into a table). I also feel that the music needs to be pretty loud for you to really get into it and get that heart going. It may feel awkward at first, especially if you look like a fish having a seizure {like me}, but just keep going at it...it's worth it and feels good.
To further the difficulty of this workout, sing along! My plain ol' generic music app on my phone shows fun visuals and also downloads the lyrics to songs. I can then cast it to my tv via Chromecast {which also lets the music play on the good sound system} and it looks something like what you see below. Further evidence of me dancing like a maniac can be found on my snapchat: gladyanneMonday

FridayThis called for another easy 3 miles. I was planning on kicking Tuesday's ass, but I also wanted to try out one of the iFit features where you map out a route and then virtually run it on the treadmill. I thought I chose a fairly simple route...I have no idea why I thought that. I mapped out 3 miles in Zion. The roads, not the trails. I thought the roads weren't that hilly. I was wrong. The incline was anywhere from 4.5% up to 11%. Not the most ideal for running on a treadmill, whenever it dipped below 5% I would run. This unfortunately didn't happen often haha! This left me walking practically the whole thing. I was upset that I couldn't show myself up, but I was also happy I finally tried out this cool feature. It really is fun. Can't wait to try it again! AFTER I kick my own trash on Tuesday ;) How was your week in fitness??You've probably noticed that I've missed some posts. Yea, I've been away from the computer lately. Not by choice originally, but after listening to my body & mind tell me I needed some space...I gave it some space and took a big step back. I'll detail a blog post about it tomorrow.
As for today, I bring you a workout resource! While I was away, I took a more focused approach to my fitness and dived head first into Nike+ Training Club. It's marketed for women and it's badass. You pick a program and edit it to your liking. Then you follow it. I put the phone in my armband, put my headphones in and killed my first workout of the program while at the gym. They tell you everything you have to do, what workout is coming, how long you have left, how to do it properly, they even show you. It syncs with your Nike+ running app so if you choose to add running into your program then it all works together. I love how it literally tells you what to do, I followed it at the gym and liked how I didn't have time to think or talk myself out of anything. I just did it. {haha see what I did there} Check it out for yourself! {Click Here} Screenshots below: It's time for some yoga videos!! I chose several different types of yoga workouts and a few different instructors so you can choose what works best for you. Let me know which one that is! My personal favorite is Tara Stiles. She's the reason I found yoga and the reason I keep at it. I also love a good mixture between strong, flexible, and relaxing flows. The strong flow types really kick my butt. The flexible flows are fun and challenging for someone like me who needs to progress in that area. Then the relaxing flows are my favorite.
I typically like to post "Mind Your Mondays" first thing in the morning. This week I felt I needed to wait and see what Monday would bring me. I had a feeling that Monday would bring something I wanted to share. And it did. Monday brought newness, change, motivation, and excitement. I thought it was quite fitting. All over town I noticed the leaves changing as well. It's beautiful. Funny how life changes were brought with the weather. About damn time, if you ask me. If you keep up with this blog, you'll know that I needed a new gym and found one nearby {blog post here}. We finally visited this gym and officially signed up today. So far, we both love it. The treadmills have these fancy tablets that do all sorts of stuff for your workout. I'm most excited to try out a feature that lets you map out a route anywhere in the U.S and then the treadmill is supposed to change incline accordingly. Talk about one of the best ways to train for out-of-state races! I'll keep you updated on how it works out. In other news, a project of mine is finally moving LEAPS forward! I'm in the process of transitioning one of the rooms in my house to a photography studio! It's been in the works for about a month with little traction. Then I had some help {thanks Mom!}. When the whole project is complete I'll have a link to my photo blog sharing the details ;) Since I've managed to keep my nails unbitten for two whole weeks straight, I decided a reward was needed ;) Enter a trip to Ulta for a couple nail polishes & NYX lip goodies ❤ If you're interested I'll do a mini blog post sharing my tiny splurge. My Microsoft fitness band has been a blast! If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me share my newly acquired fitness gadget. I'm aiming to get a video up around Thursday to share my review. So far, it's pretty nifty and today I managed to actually try recording some workouts. Up until today I've been just recording my sleeping habits ;) To keep up with this theme of newness, I picked a completely new flavor at our favorite smoothie shop {Emerald City Smoothie}. My motto for this year was to try new things...I love what it's been doing for me!! What new things have you tried lately?A week ago I submitted this info to my newsletter subscribers!
