Monday
I started a Nike+ Training Club program on Monday with a 30min workout called Body Flexor. I detailed more about this app on a post {here}. Before I began, I tried an incline training program and it put me all the way up to 25% incline at one point. I was sweating like crazy! |
Tuesday
The program wanted me to run easy for 3 miles. It's been a while since I actually ran. So, I walked/jogged easy for 3 miles on the treadmills at the gym with Daniel around 4 am. Nice to have someone support your program, even if it's just a little bit ;) After our 3 miles Daniel lead me through some dumbbell exercises & I led him through some ab work. |
Thursday
I get off work at 7am and arrive home around 730. To make sure I didn't skip my workout, I changed clothes and set up for my workout almost immediately after getting home. The Nike program had me doing a 45min workout called Tighten Up. Daniel came home near the halfway point and I'm finally at a place where it doesn't matter who sees me during a workout. So I kept on ;) BTW I love that the program leads you through your warm up & your cool down. |
Friday
This called for another easy 3 miles. I was planning on kicking Tuesday's ass, but I also wanted to try out one of the iFit features where you map out a route and then virtually run it on the treadmill. I thought I chose a fairly simple route...I have no idea why I thought that. I mapped out 3 miles in Zion. The roads, not the trails. I thought the roads weren't that hilly. I was wrong. The incline was anywhere from 4.5% up to 11%. Not the most ideal for running on a treadmill, whenever it dipped below 5% I would run. This unfortunately didn't happen often haha! This left me walking practically the whole thing. I was upset that I couldn't show myself up, but I was also happy I finally tried out this cool feature. It really is fun. Can't wait to try it again! AFTER I kick my own trash on Tuesday ;)
